Smuggled medications confiscated in North Lebanon

The Health Ministry declared on Thursday that an Internal Security Forces patrol confiscated a truck load of smuggled medications coming from the North into the Bekaa.         

Following inspection, it was revealed that the cargo was unregistered and smuggled from Turkey.           

Lebanese has been the scene of several drag scandals in the past years. Mount Lebanon First Investigating Judge Jean Fernaini issued an arrest warrant on February 15th 2013, against Minister Mohammad Fneish’s brother on charges of drug counterfeiting.
