Soldier killed in horrific car accident on Jbeil highway

A Lebanese Armed Forces soldier, identified as 20-year-old Johnny Asaad Abou Zeid, was killed on Tuesday morning in a horrific car accident on Jbeil highway when his car collided with a truck, the National News Agency reported.

However, the truck driver escaped the scene and headed toward an unknown destination.

Security forces and military police rushed to the scene and launched an investigation, while a Civil Defense team transported the corpse to the hospital.

The accident caused a heavy traffic jam on the highway.
