Rai during Easter Mass: Lebanon needs politicians who believe

Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Beshara Boutros Rai said that Lebanon needs officials who truly believe in their country, making them capable of building a better future and finding fair solutions for the crises.

During the holy sermon of the Easter Mass at Bkerke, Rai called on every official to abandon his personal interests and serve the nation and the people, noting that the political authority has the duty of preserving the rights and dignity of every individual.

“We are witnessing a dangerous stage in Lebanon and the East and we have passed by death on the political, economic and social levels. We pray for the Christ to save us from death, destruction and displacement,” Rai said.
