Israel says cyber-attacks only caused minimal damage

Israeli officials stressed that the cyber-attack launched on Saturday by the activist group Anonymous targeting Israeli government websites continued on Monday but did not cause serious damage.

In this context, the Shin Bet security agency issued a statement whereby it noted that the state of alert continues and the efforts deployed to prevent the cyber-attacks are ongoing.

The report added that the Shin Bet along with other security agencies tasked with cyber security “succeeded in locating and preventing attacks aimed at harming many websites and ISPs serving civilians”.
