Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour declared on Tuesday that his ministry has kicked off its work in order to send a memo to the Arab League which will includes on the field facts concerning the Syrian violations of Lebanon's sovereignty.

“We are awaiting reports from Lebanese Army on the events that took place over the past few days before we send the memo,” he added.

Mansour stressed that he will call Lebanon's permanent representative at the United Nations Security Council, Nawaf Salam, to task him with making the necessary calls with concerned authorities in order to prepare for an urgent meeting to discuss the issue of the Syrian refugees in Lebanon and means to help the country bear the burden of this matter. Mansour stressed that this movement is "purely of a humanitarian nature”.

Commenting on the issue of the Lebanese nationals held hostage in Nigeria, Carlos Abou Aziz and Imad Indari, Mansour said: “There are no new developments regarding this case.”
