Charbel meets with Sleiman, briefs him on security situation

Lebanese President Michel Sleiman met on Monday with caretaker Interior Minister Marwan Charbel at the Baabda Presidential Palace and discussed with him the security situation prevailing in the country and the measures taken by the ministry to maintain security and stability.

On the other hand, Sleiman held a meeting with MP Atef Majdalani with talks featuring high on the latest developments and pending issues pertaining to governmental and parliamentarian affairs.

Separately, Sleiman received the Secretary General of the Defense Supreme Council, Maj. Gen. Mohammad Khair, who informed him of the latest decisions taken by the council during its last meeting, held at the Baabda Palace.
