Patriarch Laham calls for achieving peace

Melkite Greek Catholic Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, Gregorios III Laham stressed on Saturday that peace, when restored in Syria, will prevail over the world, calling on all political leaders across the world to have to recourse to peace rather than war strategies.                

During his meeting with a delegation from the international Commission to support reconciliation and solidarity, Patriarch Laham revealed that he is ready to present sacrifices in order to reach reconciliation in Lebanon and Syria, “even if achieving this goal will require martyrdom.”
