Arslan calls for national unity cabinet that preserves civil peace

Head of the Lebanese Democratic Party, MP Talal Arslan called on Monday on the Prime Minister-Designate Tammam Salam to interpret the repercussions of the conflicts raging across the Middle East, stressing the need to form a national unity cabinet which preserves civil peace.

During his meeting with popular delegations in Choueifat, Arslan said that the country needs a political cabinet based on national unity in order to maintain civil peace and state’s authority.

“Any other approach presented in the cabinet formation process, such as the cabinet of technocrats proposal, will be a burden which cannot be handled by the country and will not be able to protect Lebanon on the political, security and economic levels,” he added.
