REPORT: A convoy of hearses in Hamra protest failure to implement non-smoking law

Civil society activists organized a demonstration on Hamra Street Friday morning whereby a number of funerary vehicles were driven through the street. The activists also held banners denouncing the lack of compliance with the law banning smoking in public places.

Law 174 stipulating the smoking ban in public spaces came into effect on September 3rd, 2013, however several restaurants and even governmental complexes have failed to comply.
