MP Alain Aoun: On May 15th the ‘masks will fall’

Change and Reform bloc MP Alain Aoun said that their alliance with Hezbollah is based on a memorandum of understanding which includes an item stating that the party’s weapons are dedicated to Lebanon's defense.                 

In a statement to LBCI’s Nharkom Said, Aoun stressed that Lebanon is facing a critical phase which requires the need to ease the tensions surrounding it. “We are involved in defending Lebanon, a duty that must be unanimous among all the Lebanese factions.”             

On the other hand, MP Aoun expected that the parliament session will take place as scheduled, noting that “the first positive step is setting a date for the parliament session on May 15th," adding, "the masks will fall and the truth will be revealed on that day.”               

“In case the Orthodox draft law were not approved, the only alternative is to adopt the current electoral law or to find another draft law, and then the parliamentary blocs will have to bear the responsibility of their positions,” he concluded.
