Mortar shells from Syria crash in Akkar towns, several injured

A number of Lebanese and Syrian nationals were reportedly wounded on Tuesday in shelling from the Syrian side targeting the Lebanese border towns of Al-Khawalisa and Nasob in Jabal Akroum and Wadi Khaled, Akkar, the state-run National News Agency reported.

Meanwhile, clashes erupted between the Syrian army and gunmen in the towns of Hnayder and al-Kanissa in Akkar, also on the Lebanese border.
