Charbel: Syrian nationals identified among those killed in North Lebanon

Caretaker Interior Minister Marwan Charbel described on Tuesday the security situation in North Lebanon as “better than it was on Monday,” praising the efforts exerted by the Lebanese Armed Forces.

In a statement to “Voice of Lebanon” radio station, Charbel said that the problem lies in the lack of one unified leadership in the face of the gunmen in Tripoli, mainly in Bab al-Tebbaneh, noting that they are distributed among many groups, "making the situation difficult".

However, Charbel stressed that there were Syrian nationals among those killed; pointing out that this is caused by the failure to deal with the issue of the Syrian refugees adequately.
