Higher Defense Council recommends extension of general mobilization

The Higher Defense Council recommended on Tuesday the extension of the general mobilization until August 30.

The council also urged the military and security apparatuses to surpass violations in order to avoid the spread of Coronavirus.

This as President Michel Aoun kicked off the meeting by condemning the Israeli attack in south Lebanon on Monday, dubbing it as a threat to south Lebanon’s stability.

For his part, Minister of Health Hamad Hassan said that available information confirmed that the situation in Lebanon is dangerous, adding that the problem lies in the failure of citizens to abide by the preventive measures.
