Hassan meets Russian ambassador over Sputnik V vaccine

Caretaker Minister of Health Hamad Hassan met on Thursday with Russian Ambassador to Lebanon Alexander Rudakov.

Discussions reportedly tackled means of purchasing one million doses of SPUTNIK V vaccine directly from the Russian factories, and the possibility of obtaining an emergency donation of this vaccine to speed up immunization in some sectors.

The meeting also touched on strengthening bilateral cooperation in the health field and the possibility of translating it into a visit to be paid by Minister Hassan to Russia.
