Abiad: Third Pfizer dose marathon is to reach largest number of vaccinated citizens-[VIDEO]

Health Minister Firas Abiad said on Saturday that the goal of the third Pfizer dose marathon is to reach “the largest number of vaccinated citizens."

Abiad’s comments were made from the Rafic Hariri University Hospital whereby he noted that the number of those who received the third dose reached around 600 so far.

"Such a thing reflects the level of awareness among the citizens," he added.

Abiad encouraged all citizens and residents to register to get the vaccine in order to speed up the vaccination process to reach the largest number before the winter season, fearing “a large wave of Coronavirus and the inability of hospitals to contain it due to high pressure.”

He concluded by stating that a marathon will be organized on a weekly basis, and that it will cover all age categories next week (on Saturday and Sunday) provided that they pre-register on the platform.
