Minister Bou Habib meets with Russian ambassador Rudakov

Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdallah Bou Habib received on Tuesday Russian ambassador to Lebanon Alexander Rudakov who described the meeting as "good and friendly."

During the meeting, discussions focused on the bilateral relations between the two countries and the most recent developments between Russia and Ukraine.

In response to a question about Russia’s vote in the Security Council on sanctions against the Houthis in Yemen and the impact of that vote on their relations with their allies in Lebanon and Iran, the Russian ambassador denied that the decision had any effect.

“I had no information and I did not discuss this issue with Minister Bou Habib,” he concluded by saying.
