Brax: Fuel prices to continue to rise in coming weeks

Member of the Syndicate of Petrol Station Owners in Lebanon George Brax expected “fuel prices to continue to rise in the coming week, be it fuel, diesel, and gas, because of a rise in global oil price that reached 85$.”

“The reason for this price increase is the return of the global economy to its natural course in the wake of the Coronavirus crisis, in addition to the rise in global prices,” he explained.

“The price of fuel in Lebanon is directly affected by the local USD exchange rate that has exceeded the 20.000 Lebanese Pounds mark; this will lead the price of gasoline to reach 300.000 LBP per 20 liters in the three weeks to come,” Brax added in a statement to the National News Agency.
