PM Mikati meets with EU mission to monitor parliamentary polls
Prime Minister Najib Mikati received on Friday a delegation of the European Union mission to monitor the parliamentary elections at the Grand Serail.
 
During the meeting, Mikati said that the government has made “all arrangements to hold the parliamentary elections next Sunday freely and democratically, and it is up for the Lebanese to vote massively and choose whomever they want from the candidates."
 
"A large segment of the Lebanese people has always called for change, and now is the time to develop that change in constitutional frameworks," he added.
 
According to Mikati, "talks about election irregularities circulate during every election, and the competent authorities are investigating this matter." 
 
On another note, Mikati held a meeting with Minister of Telecommunication Johnny al-Qorem in the presence of Ogero General Director Imad Kreidieh and other officials.
 
Discussions tackled matters related to the Telecommunication Ministry.
