EU expresses strong dismay over Israel’s demolition of school in West Bank

The European Union spokesperson said in a statement Tuesday that the bloc expressed its “strong dismay” over Israel’s demolition of a school under construction in the village of Aqaba in the northern West Bank, which it funds together with France.

The spokesperson added that the school was intended to serve hundreds of Palestinian students.

The statement said, “The European Union expects Israel to protect its investments supporting the Palestinian people from damage and destruction in accordance with international law.”
