Sidon clashes directly affect power, water distribution

Electricite Du Liban declared Monday that the Zahrani-Aramoun grid sustained direct hits as clashes in Sidon continue leading to the total suspension of the Zahrani power plant.

As a result power has been cut off throughout several areas including Beirut central district.

This as the Establishment of the Water of Beirut and Mount Lebanon also said that the process of distributing water was affected as a direct result of the power cuts, specifically in the central Metn region.

The establishment is urging citizens to undertake precautionary measures until further notice.
