Army Command denies reports on General Kahwagi's resignation

The Lebanese Armed Forces’ Command issued a statement on Tuesday denying what was reported by some websites and newspapers stating that Army Commander Jean Kahwagi will present his resignation to President Michel Sleiman if the LAF were not granted authority to raid Abra's security zone.

The Army Command added in the statement that President Sleiman expressed his confidence in the military institution and its leadership, and voiced his support to the measures it will implement to maintain stability and security in the aforementioned region.
