Rai calls for creating new job opportunities

Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Beshara Boutros Rai stressed on Wednesday the need to create new job opportunities through the implementation of developmental, industrial and agricultural projects, noting that the Lebanese people are currently living in a critical economic situation.

In a speech he delivered during the annual general assembly of the social Maronite institution at Bkerke, Rai reminded the politicians and the officials of the statement made by Pope Francis where he said that the only goal justifying the political and economic practices is the service of the people.
