The head of Change and Reform bloc MP Michel Aoun stressed on Saturday that the agreement with Hezbollah is still ongoing on a strategic level, noting at the same time that the Free Patriotic Movement is currently reconsidering its alliances.              

Aoun pointed out that there are two sides of the relation with Hezbollah, one related to the Lebanese internal affairs while the other is strategic and concerns the Resistance.              

On the relations with Saudi Arabia, Aoun said that “there was never troubles in their relations, but only different points of view,” stressing that his meeting with the Saudi ambassador to Lebanon Ali Awad Assiri reflects an openness in the bilateral relations. He denied having received any invitation to visit Saudi Arabia.                  

Asked whether he fears a political void in Lebanon’s constitutional institutions, he said that “this is what we are facing, but reforms are still possible.”
