REPORT: Two bombs explode in Hermel, injuries reported

A bomb exploded on Sunday morning at the entrance of Hermel city.

In this context, a Patrol of Lebanese Armed Forces rushed to the scene and a second bomb exploded soon after, leaving one LAF officer and one soldier injured who were rushed to hospital.

The LAF cordoned off the area, while security forces  launched investigations to reveal circumstances behind the incident.

No further information were given in this regard.

Statement of Army Command:

For its part, the Army Command issued a statement in which it mentioned that a bomb exploded on Sunday on the roadside of the Hermel city, damaging one civilian car.

In this context, Lebanese army's patrol rushed to the scene and a second bomb exploded soon after, leaving one LAF officer and one soldier injured.

The Army Command stressed that LAF is inspecting the region, while investigations were launched to reveal circumstances behind the incident.
