Raad: Hezbollah is not setting preconditions for its governmental participation

Head of the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Mohammad Raad said on Monday that Hezbollah is not setting preconditions for its participation in the new cabinet, adding that it is trying to resolve disputes pertaining to the formation.

During an Iftar held in the Ansarieh town, South Lebanon, Raad said that Lebanon’s only way out of the crisis is through rational thinking, pointing out that  Hezbollah did not specify any conditions when it nominated Prime Minister-Designate Tammam Salam.

Raad added that the party is only demanding the fulfillment of its rights which are manifested by its share in the cabinet on the basis of its representation at the parliament.

“Those setting preconditions are refusing Hezbollah’s participation in the cabinet,” MP Raad said, reiterating the call for a government that reflects the aspirations and needs of the Lebanese people, and respects the parliamentary representation of each political faction.
