Syrian aircraft drops two missiles in Arsal

A Syrian aircraft violated the Lebanese airspace on Thursday dawn and dropped two missiles in the northeastern border town of Arsal, the state-run National News Agency reported.

It is worth noting that no casualties were reported.

Syrian fighter jets have carried out in recent months several raids on Arsal, a predominantly Sunni town which supports the uprising against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

The conflict that erupted in Syria in March 2011 has spilled over the border into Lebanon where supporters and opponents of the Syrian regime have clashed frequently.
