Sleiman meets Ministers Charbel and Ghosn, discusses latest developments in Lebanon

Lebanese President Michel Sleiman met on Monday at the Baabda Presidential Palace with caretaker Interior Minister Marwan Charbel and discussed with him the latest security developments in Lebanon.

Sleiman also met with caretaker Defense Minister Fayez Ghosn who briefed him on the needs of the Lebanese Armed Forces in terms of weapons and ammunition.

Also at the Baabda Palace, President Sleiman discussed with the LAF Commander General Jean Kahwagi the measures implemented by the military institution to maintain the country’s stability especially in regions that are witnessing tension and conflicts.

Sleiman also received the General Security chief Major General Abbas Ibrahim who informed him on the latest discussion in regards to the release of the Lebanese detainees in Syria’s Aazaz.

Among the visitors of the Baabda Presidential Palace was also the United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon Derek Plumbly.
