MP Bahiya Hariri meets with Army Commander, reiterates support to LAF

The Lebanese Armed Forces Commander Major General Jean Qahwagi met on Friday at his office in Yarze with Sidon MP Bahiya Hariri, who reiterated her support for the efforts deployed by the LAF to preserve civil peace and stability.

Among Major General Qahwagi's visitors were also former MPs Elie Skaff and Gebran Tawk.

He also held talks with the European Union Ambassador to Lebanon Angelina Eichhorst, and Kataeb party official Sejaan Azzi.

Talks reportedly tackled the current general situation in Lebanon.

The LAF Commander also met with the family of LAF officer Georges Abou Saab who was killed in the latest clashes in Sidon, as well as the head of the Baalbek International Festival Nayla De Freige and a delegation of the Lebanese Maronite Order.
