Majdalanai: Snubbing STL means shunning UN

Future bloc MP Atef Majdalani told Voice of Lebanon radio station that the issue of committing to the Special Tribunal for Lebanon is primordial to Lebanon since it means committing to the truth and implementing international resolutions. Majdalani called on President Michel Sleiman and PM Najib Mikati to resign if they do not live up to their international commitments.

“Breaking Lebanon’s commitment to the STL means shunning the United Nations, turning Lebanon into a rogue country and placing the country before impediments that harm the Lebanese people”, Majdalani said.

Speaking on March 14’s plea for MP Ibrahim Kenaan to apologize to the Head of the Future Movement Fouad Siniora and boycotting any future sessions of the Finance and Budget Parliamentary Committee, Majdalani said: “It is unacceptable that the head of a committee would provide false information against a former PM.”
