Wiam Wahhab to LBCI: Lebanon's security situation is "good" compared to region

Tawhid Party leader Wiam Wahhab said on Sunday that the current security situation in Lebanon is "good" compared to the security chaos witnessed in the region.

He noted that Hezbollah will not foment sectarian strife in the country, adding that some internal sides are seeking to destabilize Lebanon's security by launching rockets and putting explosives.

Wahhab's stance came during an interview with LBCI Nharkom Said TV show in which he said that MP Saad Hariri is "detained" in the Saudi Arabian Kingdom and cannot come back to Lebanon, adding that MP Hariri receives orders from the Saudi Kingdom.

He also stressed that Hezbollah weapons are not "permanent" and subject to dialogue, noting that Lebanon cannot halt Israel's attacks without Hezbollah arms.
