Tensions and clashes erupt in Tripoli

Armed men fired gunshots on Tuesday at dawn at a restaurant in Tripoli's Abi Samra, injuring Sheikh Khaled Barakat.

Sheikh Barakat was rushed to the hospital to receive medical treatment.

As well, unknown assailants set on fire a shop belonging to the Hassoun family in the city's Nejmeh Square.

On another note, a personal dispute erupted on Monday-Tuesday overnight in Tripoli's market, leaving 7 people injured.

The injured were identified as: Mohammad Habib, Fouad Habib, Bashir Hassoun, Mohammad Hassoun, Samir al-Namel, Walid Ghazoul and Bilal Ghazoul.

They were all transferred to nearby hospitals to receive medical treatment.
