UCC says may resume movements in the streets

The Union Coordination Committee (UCC) said that it might return to the streets should the draft law pertaining to the salaries and ranks series not be passed.

The stance of the UCC came during its tour held as part of the one million signatures campaign that arrived on Tuesday to the department of the Value Added Tax at the Ministry of Finance.

The Union Coordinating Committee alongside the private and public schools association had launched an open ended strike on February 19th, 2013 after making repeated called on Mikati to validate the new salary scale and consequently refer it to Parliament for ratification. Cabinet referred the wage scale on Thursday 21st of March, 2013.
