Future bloc urges Hezbollah to withdraw from Syria

The Future bloc reiterated on Tuesday the stance of former Prime Minister Saad Hariri and his call to form a cabinet as soon as possible and to hold national dialogue sessions, noting that the bloc is dedicated to preserve coexistence and to commit to the Taef Agreement.

In a statement issued following the bloc’s weekly meeting and read by MP Ammar Houry, the Future bloc noted that the Lebanese state should be the only entity possessing weapons in the country, praising the stances of President Michel Sleiman and calling on all parties to respect the Baabda Declaration.

On another note, the bloc urged Hezbollah to withdraw from the battles taking place in Syria, calling for the formation of a national unity cabinet and condemning the attacks and violations carried out by the Syrian regime against Lebanon’s sovereignty.

Commenting on Daraya’s incident that killed two non-Lebanese men, the bloc called on the concerned authorities to reveal the circumstances of the incident.
