Extraordinary measures implemented at Roumieh prison in case of riots

The security forces tasked with protecting the Roumieh prison implemented on Tuesday night extraordinary security measures after reports emerged stating that a number of supporters of Islamist detainees who have been sentenced recently may carry out riots in the vicinity of the prison.

Accordingly, the security forces were able to control the situation that has so far remained stable, while the measures will continue to be implemented given that the inmates are expected to have visits during the day.
