Maronite bishops denounce attacks against LAF, call for supporting military institution

Maronite bishops denounced on Wednesday the attacks against the Lebanese Armed Forces, and called on officials and citizens to respect the military institution and support it with all available means to end armed conflicts that are threatening Lebanon’s security and stability.

Following a meeting held with Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Mar Beshara Boutros Rai at the patriarchal summer residence in Diman, Maronite bishops said national dialogue sessions are essential, and called for expediting the formation of the government in a bid to spare Lebanon further repercussions of regional crises.
