REPORT: Investigations underway with three arrested men in Arsal

Security sources said on Saturday that investigations are underway with the three men who were arrested by the Lebanese Armed Forces Intelligence Branch in the town of Arsal on suspicions of smuggling weapons.

Security sources told LBCI that the arrest of the three suspected men was carried out with the cooperation of Arsal residents, noting that the group attempted to smuggle illegally into the town.

Sources added that Arsal residents prevented them from entering the town which obliged the group to take a road leading to an army checkpoint.

Same sources concluded by saying that the three arrested men were transferred to Beirut.
