US Embassy issues new non-immigrant Visa procedures

The U.S. Embassy in Beirut issued a press release Friday on the new Non-Immigrant Visa application and appointment procedures at the U.S. Embassy Beirut.

The U.S. Embassy in Beirut transitioned, as of August 16th, a new visa appointment scheduling and fee collection system for non-immigrant visas.

Under the new system, non-immigrant visa applicants can now fill out the visa application and schedule an interview appointment online 24 hours a day, seven days a week at http://www.ustraveldocs.com/

Applicants may also schedule an appointment in Arabic, English, or French at our new Call Center available 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., Lebanon time, seven days a week excluding U.S. and Lebanese holidays, at 01-964-659.

U.S. callers can speak to a Call Center representative in Arabic, English, or French from 7:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Eastern Standard

Time, seven days a week excluding U.S. and Lebanese holidays at 1-703-520-2244.

Additionally, applicants may obtain answers to their questions regarding visa applications either online or via the Call Center.  Under the new system, non-immigrant visa applicants will still pay the same visa application fees at any Credit Libanais bank.

There will be no changes for non-immigrant visa applicants who scheduled a visa interview appointment prior to August 16 – even if the actual appointment date is in the future.  We advise those applicants to keep their appointment as planned: there is no change to an appointment that has already been scheduled.  All applicants should remember to bring their Credit Libanais fee receipt and present it at their appointment.

In order to provide better customer service, this new system will be easier and more convenient for non-immigrant visa applicants to the United States.  Other U.S. embassies in our region are making similar changes at approximately the same time.
