Layyoun: Change and Reform bloc mulls boycotting Wednesday session

Culture Minister Gaby Layyoun said on Monday that the Change and Reform bloc will boycott the Wednesday cabinet session should the situation remain the same.

“The cabinet’s fate cannot be tied to the STL funding at a time when people are burned with social and economic issues,” he added.

Commenting on Tripoli’s ceremony, Layyoun told Voice of Lebanon that “it was nothing more than an incitement campaign against Syria…MP Marwan Hamadeh should have delivered his speech with more self-discipline.”

“The Tribunal was imposed on Lebanon under chapter 7, in contravention of the U.N. Charter,” adding that “funding the Tribunal or not and resorting to a kickback or to a ransom are a different story.”

In his concluding remarks, Layyoun confirmed that there is no division within his bloc.
