Saudi Ambassador holds talks with FPM, Kataeb leaders

Change and Reform bloc leader MP Michel Aoun held a meeting on Thursday with Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon Ali Awad Asiri in Rabieh with talks featuring high on the local and regional situations.

Separately, Kataeb party leader Amin Gemayel also held a meeting with Ambassador Asiri whereby he condemned a recent incident that took place in Beirut when a Hezbollah checkpoint stopped a convoy of Saudi diplomats.

Both officials also stressed the need to form a new government the soonest possible, and discussed the latest developments in the region, mainly in Syria in light of a potential US military strike on the war-torn country.
