Sleiman voices support to all initiatives that aim at holding dialogue sessions

Lebanese President Michel Sleiman expressed on Friday his support to all initiatives and proposals that aim at promoting dialogue sessions, in a bid to find solutions for Lebanon's current situation.

During a meeting held with a delegation of the Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc that included MPs Yassine Jaber, Ali Bazzi, and Michel Moussa who briefed him on the initiative launched by House Speaker Nabih Berri, Sleiman stressed the importance of considering mechanisms to implement previous resolutions that were agreed upon during dialogue sessions, such as the adherence to the Baabda declaration.

The delegation also held talks with Prime Minister-Designate Tammam Salam at his residence in Msaytbeh, briefing him on Berri's initiative.

On August 31, Speaker Berri proposed to President Michel Sleiman a road map that aims at leading Lebanon out of the current situation through holding dialogue sessions and controlling the border region with Syria through banning gunmen from crossing the borders and arresting arm smuggling cells.
