GCC convenes, discusses measures against Hezbollah affiliates

A Gulf official  said on Sunday that  senior interior ministry officials of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates met in Riyadh.

The officials discussed ways to implement the Gulf Cooperation Council  (GCC) decision to take action against Hezbollah affiliates in GCC countries through financial and business transactions.

The GCC is formed of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

On the 10th of June,  GCC leaders decided to impose sanctions on Hezbollah in reprisal for the group’s military involvement in Syria.
