Bazzi to Nharkom Said: Berri engineered STL funding

MP Ali Bazzi of the Liberation and Development bloc said that the outcome of the Special Tribunal for Lebanon’s funding was designed by Speaker Nabih Berri to save the country from a worst case scenario, adding that the government should now focus more on daily life issues that are burdening the Lebanese.

Bazzi in an interview to Nharkom Said on LBCI said that all parties expressed their happiness regarding the decision taken by MP Mikati as it saved the country from emptiness and strife.

Bazzi pointed out that Speaker Berri allowed all parties to reach a consensus regarding the STL, as the country closely evaded a “huge explosion”, calling on ruling political parties and March 14 coalition to launch a new national dialogue to discuss all pending issues between them.
