Charbel to LBCI: Security plan to be implemented in Dahiyeh is well-devised

Caretaker Interior Minister Marwan Charbel told LBCI on Saturday that the Internal Security Forces will deploy in Beirut's Southern Suburbs as of Monday afternoon, stressing that "only security forces will be tasked with the said mission".

Charbel also said that the security plan to be implemented in Dahiyeh is "well-devised," calling on the citizens to cooperate with the security apparatuses.

Earlier, Charbel told An-Nahar newspaper that such step aims at replacing the checkpoints established by Hezbollah in the Dahieh suburbs after the two explosions that took place in the region.

According to the Daily, the caretaker Minister said that Hezbollah is speeding up the process to hand over the security of the suburbs to the new unit.
