Mikati: Funding the STL is no achievement

PM Najib Mikati revealed that his decision to fund the Special Tribunal for Lebanon is a triumph for the country but not an achievement as there a lot more to do to put Lebanon on the right track and unify all opposing political views.

Mikati added that we are now waiting for the international community to keep its promises towards Lebanon providing aids on all levels. At the opening ceremony of the 52nd annual book fair Mikati said that the funding issue is now behind us as the government should now focus on people’s needs.

“I call on all political leaders to come closer and start a national dialogue for the best of this country”, Mikati was quoted as saying.
