Fatfat: Nasrallah speech was not reassuring

Future MP Ahmad Fatfat stressed on Saturday that the internal situation requires “lots of honesty and clarity”, adding that Hezbollah Leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah's speech was not reassuring.

Following his meeting with Patriarch of Antioch and All the East of the Roman Orthodox Ignatius IV Hazim, Fatfat said that funding the STL is only part of the story and it should be complemented with the handover of the accused.

In turn, Defense Minister Fayez Ghosn said that the Orthodox community did not play its role across history.

Following his meeting with Hazim, Ghosn said “we hope that, with the presence of Patriarch Hazim, our role will be simulated. We also hope that, during the significant upcoming phase, we will have our own position and a message to carry at the level of the orthodox community.”
