Kheireddine to LBCI: Economic issues must not be politicized

Caretaker State Minister Marwan Kheireddine called Thursday on all parties to keep the economic issues facing the country at a distance from politics, pointing out that a large part of the state’s businesses are dominated by corrupt parties.

On another note, Kheireddine told LBCI’s Nharkom Said that the delay in forming a new cabinet amid the wide division between the Lebanese factions is not serving Lebanon’s interest, stressing that the responsibility lies upon the current caretaker cabinet, which remains the only entity capable of taking decisions.

In this regard, the state minister said that “the caretaker cabinet has the right to hold a non-political session to settle the government’s pending issues.”
