Judge Saqr files lawsuit against 12 persons in case of al-Maamoura booby trapped car

State Commissioner to the Military Court Judge Saqr Saqr filed on Monday a lawsuit against 12 persons, including Lebanese national Mohammad al-Atrash and Turkish national Mohammad Ardomir on suspicion of forming a terrorist network to set booby-trapped cars across Lebanon.

Sources added that investigations with al-Atrash and Ardomir are underway and so far show that Omar al-Atrash, Mohammad al-Atrash's brother, was a member in the same terrorist network and was killed in a booby trapped car that he was driving in the northeastern border town of Arsal.

Investigations also showed that al-Atrash and Ardomir are responsible for setting the booby trapped car found in the Dahiyeh region of al-Maamoura two weeks ago.

On the 14th of October, the state-run National News Agency reported that Lebanese Armed Forces dismantled a bomb found in a Grand Cherokee Jeep parked in Dahiyeh's region of al-Maamoura.

Two days earlier, Omar al-Atrash and two others were killed after the vehicle he was driving detonated on the outskirts of the northeastern Lebanese border town of Arsal towards Syria.

The reason of the explosion remains unknown.
