Army Intelligence pulls over van with weapons on board in Hermel

A Lebanese Army Intelligence patrol managed to pull over a van in Hermel transporting munitions and grenades among other prohibited arms, the state-run National News Agency reported Wednesday.

The vehicle is most likely to have entered Lebanon via Syria.

The three passengers on board were detained and then referred to the concerned authorities for interrogation.

No further details were provided.
