Mahfoud slams wage decree, prepares for strike, demonstration

Nehmeh Mahfoud, the head of the Teachers’ Union, slammed on Thursday the wage increase decree issued during the Wednesday cabinet session, saying that the numbers included in the decree are not reasonable.

Mahfoud told Nharkom Said TV show that the decree is a mockery of the people.

Mahfoud pointed out that the coordinating body of trade unions will hold a meeting today afternoon to call for strike and demonstrations, which are likely to take place next Tuesday.
