LAF soldier, wanted person killed in Baalbek raid

The Lebanese Armed Forces Command declared on Saturday that a Lebanese Armed Forces soldier Charbel Tannouri and a wanted person identified as Mohammad Choukair were killed in a raid operation carried out by the LAF in search for wanted persons, in Baalbek, in an abduction case involving two German nationals.

The Army Command pointed out that Choukair is wanted on the backdrop of various arrest warrants, adding that the military police office will investigate the incident under the supervision of the judicial authorities.

The two German nationals were released on Saturday dawn; however, they were later arrested by the Internal Security Forces judicial police on charges of drug dealing.
